Brian Flippance, President ACA & Integrys

Brian graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1975 with a BaSc in electrical engineering and has been a P. Eng. since 1981. He is an alumnus of the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and is a long-time member of the business peer group, TEC Canada. He has served on the boards and advisory boards of several Integrys suppliers.

Brian has had a long and successful career in Canadian hi-tech, dating back to 1975 when, after a brief tenure as a development engineer with Urban Transport Development Corporation, he joined ACA as a sales engineer.

After a four-year stint with Webster Instrument—during which time he was instrumental in increasing sales five-fold and became sales manager—he rejoined ACA as sales manager of the Fluke Division, before assuming responsibility for the Scientific Division. As an owner and director of ACA since 1985, Brian has successfully grown Integrys into a leading supplier of system-level products and has developed an engineering team that has allowed Integrys to provide outsourcing services to its customers.

Brian became CEO and president of ACA in 2005 and a major shareholder in 2014.
